Welcome

Thank you for looking at my website.

My name is Sue Aspinall.  By looking for help and support, you have already made an important step on the journey towards positive change in your life.  Whether the change you want is big or small, you are already on that journey.  I have been a therapist for over a decade now and I’m as enthusiastic and convinced in the power of talking therapy as I have ever been.

I can offer you a calm and peaceful environment in which I will work hard to find a way to make you feel comfortable and safe enough to talk to me about your troubles.  I will use my experience and training, but will also be guided by how you tell me you want your therapy to be and the pace you want to go at.

If you are willing to come to appointments regularly, do your best to be as open as you are able to (at any given moment), then therapy can be an extremely positive and life changing experience.

About Me

I am a fully qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor.  I’ve worked in the NHS and private practice for over 10 years offering both therapy and supervision.

I am qualified and trained in different models of therapy, including integrative, interpersonal, gestalt and CBT.  This means I can adapt the way I work to suit your needs, depending on your difficulties and your personality.

I provide a comfortable and safe space in the center of Bradford, where I can meet people who may be struggling with some aspect of their lives.  I feel passionately about counselling.  I have seen how powerful it can be, both personally and professionally.  I feel priveledged to work in this area and to be alongside people as they start to move towards a more positive phase of their lives.

Services & fee

I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision from my newly re-furbished and spacious therapy room in Central Bradford.

Counselling and psychotherapy: £45 per session (each session is 50 minutes)

Supervision: £45 per hour

Experience

I have worked as a counsellor and supervisor within the N.H.S. and private practice for over 10 years.  In both roles I have offered counselling and psychotherapy to clients and supervision to both trainees and experienced therapists.

I am also an experienced supervisor within group settings and the voluntary sector.

I have experience of working with a wide range of needs.  From clients who simply want a few counselling sessions to help them to sort out a current problem or dilemma in their life, through to people who have more deep-rooted problems and want a longer course of psychotherapy or counselling to help them to untangle more deep seated problems and who want to make more fundamental changes to the way they think and feel about themselves, their lives and others.

I have also worked within NHS mental health teams offering therapy to people who have long term mental health problems.
